Hello! I’m Helen Bick
I am a dog walking, garden loving mum to 2 boys and a fur baby, we live in Warwickshire in the UK. I was drawn to coaching as I have faced many challenges along the twisty path of life and putting wellness at the forefront has, at times, saved me. I feel passionate about helping others navigate their own path to health and wellbeing.
I spent the first 20 years of my career working for an IT start up company. I was extremely privileged to have had the opportunity to travel the world and was involved in many amazing opportunities from software development, product support, project delivery, recruitment, business strategy and even accounts. While it was a fantastic opportunity, it did however often come at the expense of my own wellbeing. I often felt myself having to work at odds with my values, under extreme stress and with little to no self-care…I suffered frequently with overwhelm and burnout.
Once I started a family, I decided that I needed a different way of life and after taking a few years out I started working as a virtual assistant for a lovely client in the health and wellbeing space. This job sparked an interest in the world of health and wellbeing and showed me that you can live a life more authentic to your values in a role that works for you and what you truly want for your life.
Over the last 5 years life has thrown many curveballs. In the summer of 2019, I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my children were 4 and 7 and my youngest was just about to start school. I felt my world fall apart around me. Over the next few years we went through lockdown, home schooling and a secondary breast cancer scare. My son was also diagnosed with a number of complex health conditions during this time as well as Dyslexia, ADHD and Autism. The last few years have been spent fighting for my son, for the help and support he needs. Through EHCP and DLA applications, transition to secondary school and everything in-between that is involved in parenting a neurodiverse child.
Over the years there has been much heartache and overwhelm, and the path is not always easy. However, I am so grateful for my journey through health and wellbeing, without which my life would look very different today. From the small steps I take every day, to the courses I have been on and people I have met and surrounded myself with that have held me up when I needed them most.
I am now 5 years cancer free and I feel this milestone marks my time to take the next step in my career and to support you in your own path to health and wellbeing. Let me help you unlock your vision and hold you up as you take the steps along your own path to live your best authentic life.
I would love to offer you a discovery call if you would like to find out more.
